Spotted this on flea bay

What has got my attention is the following:
It has Duel Petrol tanks (Factory fitted not a crappy aftermarket setup)
Has anyone heard of Subaru fitting twin petrol tanks to a Brumby? I haven't.
I have asked for a photo but cannot provide. Does anyone know of this, heard of this, know this vehicle or seen this vehicle. Its a conversion I have been considering to get longer driving range. There is plenty of room under the brumby to fit an extra custom tank

Looks in good order. Worth it for the hard torneau, long range tank and gas set-up. Liberty seats are a nice touch too.

I can tell you that Subaru never had a factory fitted second fuel tank. Nor was there ever a dealer fitted option. A dealer may have got a tank custom built and fitted for a customer or it may have been done since. I wonder how much it holds. With the gas, it would have a heck of a range.

Does look good, nice hard cover, seats - what are they out of ? scoop, that's where my gas tank sits too.

seats are from an RS Liberty.

I'd back it in that it has been (Fuel tank) custom built and installed by a qualified tradesman/fitter.

note the not like lookin' peepers reference, you are biding on it, not a look. This may explain no pics avail. Twin tanks often have twin filler. I have spotted the lpg filler panel mounted on lhs low down between door and wheel arch, but not a second filler for petrol.

$2000 for gas heads !! Standard are compatible, maybe these were flowed or something

Now I am getting worried.......... 10,000km is a long time between drinks for a EA81

Q: Can you please explain the bonnet scoop? is it just for appearance or does it serve a purpose? How much life is in the tires? when were the CV's last done? Is there a service history?

A: I don't know what the scoop does but it is above the air filter maybe it has something to with that. Tyres are about 80%. I don't know what CV's are but i have never done anything like that. I Don't know what you mean by service history but i have serviced it every 10'000km

I wouldn't worry about 10,000km oil changes on an EA81.

10,000 kms service is about right, but I always service mine every 5,000kms. Some people rather change it at 7,500 or 10,000 or 12,500kms - Whatever you feel comfortable with, I do 4 times a year which is approx 5,000 kms each total approx 20,000kms a year in my Liberty.

The idea about the bonnet scoop would be used to keep turbo cool while in motion, but in these days people put them on for the looks..

Tyres - depending on thread wear rating, how you drive them plus cornering and road conditions. Cant really tell. CVs - depends, best to test drive it and do a full lock circle and listen for ticking or clicking and ask the owner when the last time they were done. Ask the owner for service history.

That is an awesome looking hard tonneau. I cant beleive it cost $3500! thats is as much as a brumby is today. Think the bullbar is over the top but otherwise a very nice lookig brumby.

Question: How hard is it to fit the liberty seats to the brumby - is it just a change of seat rails or a custom setup?

nah its not original
my thinking is a dealer custom maybe for himself
or maybe just maybe a factory race built one
ive heard storyies of them for rallies but most overseas

looks good but it will go for to much $$$ and it is a 4 speed

4 speed.. so what.. its a brumby! You can do a 5 speed swap if you really dont like 4 speed

Ended at $5601 but didn't meet his reserve. Bit expensive if you ask me, even if it has got a $3500 hard tonneau
