When installing a lift kit, start at the front.
Undo your steering arm both top and bottom.
Undo the engine pitch rod.
Lay your kit around the car with the bolts that go with it in roughly the correct place.
Do this each side as you go. That is, one bolt drivers side, one bolt passenger side. If you do it this way every will fall in to place and alignment.
Best if you have a mate with you and you do a side each.
Make sure your car is supported well on some car stands or the like.
Remove the front wheels.
Support engine cross member with a jack.
Support gearbox (not cross member) with a jack.
Under the car start with the lower control arm mounts. Undo the inside one first (important). Remove the bolt completely and then replace with the longer bolt. Wind it in a good 3-4 turns.
Now repeat with the outer bolt on the control arm.
Next (Manual only) do the front gearbox cross member.
Do the rear one, one bolt at a time.
Do centre bearing on tail shaft the same.
Once you have all those ones done move on to the engine cross member.
Remove both bolts at once here. They are attached by the plate at the top.
Replace with lift kit bolts and nuts.
Now lower the engine and gearbox gently. Every thing will come down on to the bolt heads.
Now install you lift kit in exactly the same order, one block, one bolt at a time. Fit each bolt the same amount of turns again.
Once all blocks are in tighten every thing.
Then fit your steering.
Then fit your pitch rod.
Finally remove struts and fit their kit.
Same for the rear.
Start with the control arm bolts, then the cross member, fit the kit, tighten then struts.
Fitting a lift kit. EJ
