Brock, my only experience was to buy a weber off here and later onsell it to a dude that was having trouble with his weber. He had same troubles, blamed me, failed to pay balance and disappeared.....it may have been webers were both stuffed or needed a knowledgeable person installing it/them. Thjey may have a weakness. But , yours is off an EA81 for starters so you'd think it would be correct but for the thinner mountain air .... rejetting ??
Usually only carbs need fuel jet changes not air bleeds. Might help if you could tell what jets numbers you are running where.....

I'd say that your clutch is on the way out. At higher revs in the lower gear there's less torque in play for the clutch to hold.
If you try it in 1st gear, get the car rolling then floor it - if the engine revs and you're not going anywhere it's new clutch time.
As for the jetting, if it's already set up properly the altitude shouldn't have much of an effect on fuel richness. The carbie will "adjust" simply through the surrounding atmospheric pressure if that makes sense.
Cheers

Running rich at what throttle opening?
Main jet change affects the whole range, air jet affects top end.
Altitude does affect jetting because the air in thinner (less dense, less oxygen).
Same amount of fuel with less oxygen becomes rich.
It is the reason why professional carb tuners take a barometer to the race track.

I have a 135 main and secondary (from memory) but I use an ADM34 which is still a weber but used on 4.1 litre ford engines.
135-140 for the main and 150 for the secondary will work
50-60 for the idle jets, I use 50 on both sides others use 60

Noob response here. How can I tell what air and fuel jets I'm running? Assume I need to take them out. Old gasket OK to reuse I assume. Had it off before with seemingly no I'll effects.
I'm at sea level or close enough to. Driving up the New England HWY fully loaded w camping gear and 4 FAM passengers at 1400m odd it was close enough to underivable. Gutless as all wonder. Almost felt like I was towing a ton more than at lower altitudes. Returned to normal as I got closer to sea level.
Will read that Haynes manual. Thx for the share.
