I know someone who fitted a Toyota 1JZ-GTE into a Liberty wagon. There was no way it would ever, or could ever, be gotten signed off as legal.

Please elaborate - I have no idea what the issues would be ? Transmission tunnel or crossmember are the only things I can think of and that is easily solved.

I know he put a 1GZ-FE (Toyota 5.0L V12) with twin turbos in a Liberty

2 on ebay AU one is $3400 or best offer, the other is $570 dollars.
