04 Forester ECU Remapping ?

Has anybody tried to remap their ECU to change the characteristics of the cruise control and the Auto gearbox.

I want to make the cruise response curve a lot more aggressive / quicker as I am sick of the cruise hunting +/- 6 kph on hills. The el cheapo Command cruise I fitted to the Brumby does a better job.

I am also trying to find a way to force the Auto to hold top gear even at WOT. Possibly with a re-map or is there some way to trick the system into thinking it is coasting and not trigger a downshift.
