spare wheel carrier MY

Post by steptoe » Tue Jul 01, 2014 3:52 pm

Clever dick that I can be, might not be able to fit my towbar now :(

Came across this then unwanted spare wheel carrier that made way for an LPG conversion on a Hiace van, 'bout '04 model

Leaves my under bonnet clear for engine purposes and whatever induction stuff gets to be shoved in there  ,
keeps my tray clear and no need for a puncture kit :)

WARNING: don't try this at home , my fuel cell is on the front of the tray, with the barnacle encrusted petrol tank turfed out, found I could fit a space saver tyre, one way up centred above the rear diff - was working on this awkward idea when i stumbled upon the gift from Toyota

That does look good Jono!

I'm keen to see the fuel tank forward of the rear axle/subframe - I know there's a lot of room in there, so what did it come from?

Cheers
