Calling all gurus: 2 plug EJ18 ECU?

Post by BaronVonChickenPants » Fri Oct 21, 2005 9:15 pm

GDay fellas,
As most are aware I'm putting an '94 EJ18 MPFI into my '84 MY tourer, and my loom is fairly butchered, before I declare it a lost cause I'd like to have a go at debutchereing it, what I could do with is either the wiring diagram or ECU pin out for the following 2 plug ECU:

Thanks,

Try Sunspares. They may have a new harness for you. parts@sunsparessubaru.com

For the sake of future reliability you would be best to just get another harness. On monday I will see if they will do a better deal on a harness and prep for you.

Thanks Al, I'd still like to have a crack at this one first though.

Fair enough, lucky for you the EJ16/18 is the simplest ecu/wiring you could get.

WHere is the harness cut?

The entire loom was cut at the firewall but there is also a dozen or so wires that have been cut between the ecu and firewall, I did a bit of work on it last night on getting it untangled, it's starting to not look as scary, hoping to get it at least mostly untangled tonight and maybe even worked out a little.

Sunspares will have a pinout and wiring diagram for the ecu but will charge $30 for copies.

Thanks Al, the diagrams arrived today and they're awesome, the quality is as good as originals, they'll make things much easier.

I highly recommend the guys at sunspares for any hard to find manuals, diagrams, etc.

I'm still laughing at the envelope and invoice, for everyone other than the sunspares boys, I have 2 hand written envelopes and a professionally printed tax invoice made out to: Jordan Von Chicken Pants.

Thanks again for the diagrams and for a good laugh
