this looks to be a saleable item for our engineers to come up with doesn't it ?
one for EJ box into MY, another for L Series

The guy i bought my motor n box from told me that you can fit both the manual and automatic gearbox cross member then put a plate between them and the AWD box mounts to this plate. Sounds simple, i'm chickening out for now and going adapter plate to L series box...

Mine is using the original front crossmember.
Currently it has a flat plate across the back, but I want to use the original rear crossmember (in my case, the auto one)
A flat plate is welded between the 2 with the rear curved upwards around the box.
I'm not sure how many rear crossmembers there are.
The supplier with my donor car, a 87 manual RX turbo sedan, was too narrow to fit my 88 auto touring wagon, so there are differences in the transmission tunnels somewhere along the way.
Will get pix tonight to post tomorrow. Send me a reminder.
