Allied Armament, arms dealer from the 'States. Don't make lifts anymore, nearly got me banned from USMB. 'Nuff said.

yes, it's hi-rise. and yes it's a good idea for that block. saves 2 blocks. i think it only works with a 3" lift. you cange the position of the plate from under to on top.

my only concern with that way of mounting is that mount is only supported by the one bolt that goes thru the bush ,not by 3 as origanally designed, that area takes a few hits offroad .

can't see the difference. in both original and modified the mount is connected to the plate by the one bolt. in the original it's under and in the modified it's above

Im no expert on lift kits but basic principles will tell you that this arangement is weaker than stock.

In the original setup the main bolt is fixed at both ends (one to the captive nut on the body and the other end to the bracket) so in order to move the mount you would need to distort both ends - ie the strength in in the two mounting points not the bolt.

In the modified setup only one end of the bolt is fixed (to the bracket) so in order to move the mount you only need to distort one end - ie the strength is a lot lower and the failure point is probably the bolt now which is likely to bend at the bracket.

I subscribe to the old rally saying that "nothing is to strong to break in rallying" and i suspect the same may be true with lift kits - lol

Ok, let's take a second to forget who made the kit and look at this setup:

In the non-lifted setup, the forward bush mounts with a single M12 bolt to the captured nut in the unibody. The lifted setup also mounts to the unibody at the same point - the only extra stress exerted here is due to the increased leverage from the lift.

Regarding the integrity of the lift block itself, the unibody will distort or shear before the lift block will. Been there, done that!
