In the process of doing a springs and shocks conversion on a previously airbag based 1990 GX Wagon. Looking at fitting a lift kit when I fit the new suspension. What is the cheapest available lift kit ? Links/Information would be handy.

Hmmm - just dont mention that particular type of lift kit on here. Also BYB make lift kits themselves - I am thinking that advertising the competition here is not a high priority,

Best value is BYB. Cheapest is not really a good option.....

According to this board it's the ONLY lift kit :p
Everything else mysteriously vanishes.

Strange that what is openly claimed to be just a side hobby business gets so sensitive about the "competition". Especially when they are usually backup up for months with more orders than they can supply anyways.

I guess this is one area of Subaru mods people are unable to discuss in an unbiased way here.

Edit....PS - I might add that I run a BYB lift kit myself and regard it as the best built lift kit you can get. Just not the cheapest which is all poor Tuckerman was trying to get info on!

It's not just a competition thing. There's more "issues" than just the competition. I would just leave it at that ;)

You can mention or praise any lift kit on here you like, except that one. As has already been covered, there are far more issues at play here than most members would be aware.

Aside from this issue problems have arisin here on this message board due to some people pushing their opinions rather abrasively in regard to other lift kit manifacturers. While healthy discussion and debate is encouraged, we will not allow this community to debase itself in that regard.

To finalise the matter, the company in question is Hi-Rise, run by an ex-member of Ausubaru. A simple Google search will reveal their URL.

To set the record straight I am unaware of any supply or quality problems with their kits, however Ausubaru will continue to support and promote BYB, without which this community would never exist.
