One came with the motor, the other came with the car.
I'm not subu guru, but both the boxes are identical on the outside and the box that came with the car was supposed to have been the cars actual box.
I would have thought the wrx box would have been different to a brumby box but i really have no idea about that.
I'm in perth

WRX gearbox's are different to brumby box, Brumby has selectable 4wd d/r 4 speed, WRX is AWD.

So i guess these are two wrx boxes then, cause they are identical.

Money is needed to replace motor in the wifes dunnydore, its got a knock and I’m sure will destroy itself at the most inappropriate time.
That and the new clutch, flywheel and uprated pressure plate I had in my car got knocked off while parked at a shopping centre, beats me why someone would steal it unless they looked thru the back windows and knew exactly what they were looking at.
That’s put a downer on the whole project.
Dash was apart when I got the car, I presume it was to do some rewiring. Dash is in the cab with a whole heaps of other parts.

I know your not sure how much it's all worth... but how much are u hoping for?
Also another HUGE thing that determins my interest or not... is the brumby still registered?

I was the one who offered $1500. I'd be willing to reconsider.
Seconding Dave's question, is it still rego'd? There's a lot of work been done on it and even more left to do, so I'd imagine its been sitting for a while...
I'd like to come and see it sometime, are you SOR or NOR?

Im only interested if it's rego-ed. I have had the honour of trying to take an old (un-modifed) car over the pits before with hassels... would hate to try with them sorta mods.

Yeah, its unregistered.
But i've spoken to a few ppl who have done engine conversions and two guys in the panel beaters next to us who are doing v6's into old holdens and its pretty straight forward if you get an engineer to sign off on the mods.
From what they are saying if the engineer is happy to sign off on the job then going over the pits is pretty similar to taking a stocker over.
That was the way i was aiming, after countless modified cars its just easier to play the system rather then try fight some idiot in a blue uniform who cant even identify the manufacturer of the car he wants to sticker.
car is SOR and i was hoping for 2200, that will get me outta trouble with the wifes car. Hope thats realistic as i realise who ever takes it still has a long way to go with it.
chriSTIan and a friend have had a look and say the boxes and engine are probably from a liberty, not a wrx as i had been led to believe.

$2200 sounds like a realistic price to me. Although being un-registered (and the fact i have just killed the hatch) has made me un-able to take on such a project.
Thanks anyhows

Well if all goes well, i will hopefully have 4 free a flywheel clutch and pressure plate to replace the stolen stuff, i may consider keeping it then, or at least partly putting it together as a better incentive for someone to take it. Probably get more for it that way as well.
Just need to rape another credit card for the wifes car for the time being.

That's what I'd be doing. Don't let Holdens distract you from the task at hand. Since I stopped helping all my VN driving acquaintances, I've been able to get heaps more done on my Subaru

Yeah, but this dore belongs to the wife, stop helping her and I’ll loose all privileges.
It was bad enough when she found I had bought the thing.

you have a pm...
I'm sure the ej boys in perth would be willing to help out a potential brumby project??
How well do ej20t's run without the "t" ??

As well as you could expect a low compression 2l to run...
I'll help with an EJ20
T swap...
Actually I'll help with anything if I'm bored
