What is the intention of the scoop?
To blow cool air onto the turbo, or to feed the air intake, or to provide air for a top mount intercooler?
Personally, I hate the non-symetric look (even though I'm intending for my numberplate to offset) so I'd be (& will be) doing number 4 & making a duct to shift the air over like a Lib RS or Vortex turbo.
The hump in the bonnet & the reo underneath really put a limit on what's do-able.

If it's just for cosmetic looks (ie....does your EA82t actuall have a custom fitted intercooler??) then just bung it in the middle.

If it's actually going to be functional then put it directly above whatever your going to cool.

My RX-7's is slightly off centre because thats where the top mount intercooler sits underneath it.

personally i wouldnt bolt that thing on a huyundai, let alone a nice loking subaru. thats an aweful scoop...

cut down an early WRX scoop and it will fit between the raised sections of the bonnet, or go with a GU patrol scoop. Both really suit the L shape.

and if your only putting it on there for looks.. dont. your going to achieve nothing but attracting police attention for no good reason

my 2c ;)

i have a WAIC so it aint going to help going over the cooler...

ok it was intended to cool the turbo but i must admit i think it might look ulgy as well... (the car has it snorkel so sir intake is sorted)

if it goes on the car it will be working scoop

well the fold is actually directly over the turbo so i would have to feen it down to it,

if i could cool the turbo another way i would but i am basically trying to cool it some way or another to get my intake temps down as low as practicle,

and not being cop bait and also giving away the i have turbo game would be usefull i seem to have more problems in my pannelvan... is it stock but with centerline rims and a fair size stereo and yeh nothing but trouble the l has been no problems but it kinda doesnt realy stand out to much... a lot less than a nice looking lowered car that sounds tough... the l doesnt give the game away till the turbo flutters... then it is all over

yeah it is going on my FULLY SIK Rice car, that is why i want a bonnet scoop, i figured it would be more of a practical reason to prehas cool the turbo and keep the already high intake temps down,

cheers for the help as well i have decided untill another day not to install the scoop.

Wrong! Cops look at just about anything with a scoop, stock or not.

Schultzie I wouldn't bother with the scoop at all. If you want to get your intake temps down, modify your WAIC. Is the water pump running all the time? If not, make it so. Also, how big is your WAIC radiator? Can you increase the capacity?

Honestly I'd fit water injection and / or CO2 cooling before fitting a damn scoop again.

yeah, getting a bigger Radiator core for the waic is on the cards, was thinking about getting a custom job, around 500x300x30mm or just see what is out there, i dont think i will go as far as water injection and have no idea how co2 cooling works but it sounds cool enough, it is all good

yeah i kind of thought that the car would stand out a lot more with the scoop but it does as it is any way at least it doesnt have 27"s making it look super high, im worried that i will get done for no bOV (car never had one stock yeah?) and the wolf (wolf is easy to hide just put beanie over hand controller), aside from all the other stuff about the car but all is good,
