Steering coupling problem

Post by stiute » Wed Feb 21, 2007 11:53 pm

I have fitted a wrx EJ20t and 5 speed to my brumby and also a power steering rack from an MY. As it has the spacers on top of the crossmember to drop it down the steering coupling is now too short. The angle of the spline from the rack is also different as it now obviously sits lower. Will the steering coupling from a lift kit do the job and if so does anyone know if it can be purchased on its own from anywhere? If not, how else should i solve the problem? Help would be much appreciated!

Use one off an early Liberty or WRX, the double uni type. Thats what I used on my coupe, it ran an EJ20G, 25mm of crossmember spacing and an MY power steering rack.

If you get stuck I have 2 of them here in Perth.

Unreal! Thanks heaps for the reply so quick! I will check out the parts i have left from my front cut but i dont think i kept the coupling. If you have one how much would you want for it? I am having 2 weeks off work next week so i was hoping to get the brumby very close to running after that. If you could pm me your phone number that would be awesome so we can sort it out. I am getting very itchy feet in the expectation of driving the thing. It has been a long time with a lot of thought process to work out all the modifications that have been done. Cheers mate!
