Professional Brumby conversion

Post by ChPLAT » Sun Oct 28, 2007 1:31 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows a good place in brissy to get a professional engine conversion done to my '89 brumby? Thinking of an EJ22 N/A with AWD box. Emailing Subievolution to find out prices but can't find anywhere else that seems to know what they are doing.

Yeah me granddad found it in a car yard out in Charleville and I got it for a great price. Apparently had been sitting with the 'for sale' sign for 4 years so I really lucked out. Shame about getting rid of the EA81 though cus it's only done 120k but hopefully someone will want to buy it off me and give it a good home.

and for the record it's not actually rusty, I called it that cus its full of bull dust and I wont vacuum it cus I love the smell.

Just occurred to me, I'm a bit of a 'spirited' driver at times if you get my drift. Does that mean with the ej20 upgrade id probably screw the 4sp ea box soon or would it be able to handle it preddy well?

It would be a shame to waste a good EJ on a ratty old 4 speed.

Yeah but I have a budget to consider. I'll probably upgrade the box later down the track.

Oh well while i'm back ontyo this old thread, does any one know how adding a ej will effect my rego/insurance? Shouldn't be too bad aye? I'll will go do some research before hand but just a rough idea of what has happened to other peoples bills would be handy.

Cheers.

Shannons wont be a problem and some others may not be concerned either. I am with Shannons and the price was only marginally more than Suncorp used to be but the car is insured for more also.
