pick the collective brains trust of ausubaru

56mm ~ equals 2 1/4 inches

looking for a 90 deg (recht angle) elbow that may be of silicone 56mm inside diameter OR metal elbow of 56mm outside diameter.

some elbows of silicone are not that tight a bend, the smallest ID supercheap stock is 63 or 68 mm so mark them off the list

where do you intercooler maker guys get yer alloy bends ?

to assist visuals, 56mm is the OD of the ea82 turbo intake. i need to bring gas vapours from near the dizzy so the angle needs to fit ubder the factory allow turbo to throttle pipe/tube

I dont quite understand.
Why do you have pipework near the dizzy? Its on the opposite side to the turbo.

What about mild steel/ stainless steel from an exhaust shop?

the planning for LPG conversion has so far got most bits and a little hole in the lhs rear corner in the boot for the service line from in boot tank to engine bay where the converter(s) and mixer will sit lhs near/in spare well well. It will then feed air and gas vapour to turbo from here - coz there aint much room elsewhere and I want converter and mixer close to each other

a 45 is half what i need, wonder if 90 degres is double the price - looks like a donut is the way to go if going metal. Silicone bend looks easier if it fits.

Redskin - was that silicone bend ?

Yes Jono it is, l was having trouble also hunting some up due to the size but the local autobahn was able to order it for me overnight. Forgive me for not knowing, but what type of intercooler are you setting up?

intercooler with LPG is considered in some circles a BIG NO NO (so too big intake volumes like the intended spidey :( ), so I am not trying just yet. The elbow is simply to get gas vapour from the gas carby IMPCO MIXER into the turbo down straight-ish bit of exhaust pipe manifolding and around the 90 degree bend.

the result is ebay - oz googled silicone bends 2.25 inch and within minutes I have bought one for 42 bucks delivered (allegedly) overnight. Compare that with a pirt-chase a few years back quoted 100 bucks for 2.5 inch as 2.25 not avail, and hit with 100 +gst. Mr teck swallowed the gst component!

I think i forgot to mention silicone was an option, and it comes out cheaper and more flexible (in its application) than an exhaust bend.

75 degrees ? GOOD LUCK !! Actually the planning process is a changing and may end up being a blow through set-up which will work with intercooler aparently although space may be an issue
