G'day Guys
I currently own a 2002 Subaru outback H6. Just wondering if there is any performance mods you can do. For example i understand changing the exhaust system would probably make a difference & so would a aftermarket airfilter (etc K & N,Unifilter) but trying to source any other information that i could do to beef it up seeing that it has only approx 154KW.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

not much you can do mate. My old man was at the STi shop in melbourne the other day and asked what performance mods they can do to his Gen4 H6, not much, replace rear mufflers, for $1500 and gain like 4kw. Not worth the bother in my books.

There is always a performance chip. Not sure of the cost though.

Man they go hard from the get go, but I’m sure with some breathing mods you would gain some poke.

2004 EZ30 = 180kw
2003 EZ30 = 154kw
Anyone know what the physical difference is?

The first ones had simesed exhaust ports (like the ER27) and single cam heads
The latter ones have propper individual exhaust ports and twin cam heads.
AVCS also plays a part in the newest engines

As mentioned above;
* A proper (DIY) 3" Intake with a CAI feed in the gaurd.
* Replace the entire exhaust system. The headers suck, and the piping could be 1/4 to 1/2 bigger all the way thru.
* A tune (not a chip) on a dyno then on the road to suit the above mods.
Apart from that, you can do nothing, basically no A/M parts anywhere.
There's a few people on subaruoutback.org with the 6cyl and what they've done/attempting to do.
