Airbox for EJ22 Conversion to brumby

Post by Tim82 » Thu May 01, 2008 2:07 pm

Hi Guys,

time to get rid of the pod filter i currently have and plumb in a proper airbox for my motor.

any suggestions on what others have would be great and any other things that may be relevant.

basically i want an airbox that can sit up in the spare wheel holder in the brumby engine bay, and i want a round inlet and outlet, for future hookup of snorkel etc.

Thanks in advance for replys

Cheers Tim

Yep,
some short bits of 3" hose and the filter could sit rite up on the spare wheel carrier.

Any progress on this one? Did you run in the vacuum lines? Anybody's opinion on how the engine would run minus the vacuum hoses in the intake?

I'll take some shots of mine, it is from a mitsubishi magna, sits at the front on the drivers side, draws air from just behind the headlights. Pics to come when i get home.

I like Daza's spare tyre option - at least it fits and more useful than a repair kit and bottle of foam like the options are today in new cars!
