Hi everyone.

This has probably been discussed before and if it has, I apologise. But what exhaust are people running (Muffler brand) to get that boxer noise that we love to hear up the street. Can we get it with the EA82T, it has the large exhaust system, probaby 2" I think.

The 'boxer rumble' basically comes from the unequal length header design.

If you have an EA82T all you need is a straight though exhaust. The size of the pipe will have an effect on the depth of the sound.
Bigger pipe, deeper sound ([this is why cannon mufflers are so effective at giving that deep sound

:-D :-D I got it on my EA82T and LTurbo does not (ha ha)

Basically it is 2.5 inch tube welded to bottom of original cat down to a 450mm long (check that needed) hotdog then up to a sports muffler at the rear :-D

I have a straight pipe on my L series (EA82).

I have a straight pipe to the back with a 5" cannon muffler at the end.

Sounds mean. Gives that WRX sound

I keep the invoice from the exhaust shop that installed it in my glove box so whenever the police hassel me I show them and tell them if they have an issue talk to the shop not me because they assured me I was under the legal db limit :P

maybe, just maybe if you also fitted the EA82T exhaust crossover pipe to get the pick up from the right hand side up to no turbo then shove in a dump pipe. EA81 with 2 inch no resonator dog just a sports muff sounds loud and cackly and some say sounds rexish esp if 4WD engaged in wet take offs dumping clutch
