Hi

I recently went to a cpl of exhaust mod shops and each one has told me something different, just wondering if i could get some info on which is the best system for performance and also gives my 92 brumby a nice healthy low grumble (not too loud/pingy)

2 1/4" free flow with resonator to 3" cannon tip
2 1/2" free flow with resonator to cut off cannon tip
2" Rormake Collector into single sports with dump pipe

cheers

Ah...not sure what those are. But it is being cut before the V split in the exhaust and remade all the way to the back, hope that makes sense.

Well, i just want better compression and airflow to increase the performance and also just give the beast a nice note, not interested in making it noisy at the cost of power. Looks wise, well i particularly like the dump pipe over a cannon but this isnt really important. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the different systems i was recommended.

I'm not an expert but i would suggest 2" is probably the biggest you would want to go without sacrificing power. Good quality hi flow exhaust components will help to give you a good exhaust note. Definitely don't go for a canon. 2.25" is whats usually used for 2.2 litre NA motors, and 2.5" for the 2.5 litre or 2.0 turbo so they both seem over the top for a Brumby.

I fitted a 2in system with high flow sports cat, hot-dog resonator and a straight thru muffler. It also had a new pipes from the heads into a Y piece. This is on a 92 Brumby and it made a huge difference toi the way it went.

Cheers,
