G'day,

Ive got a VF10 on my Libbo and want to swap for a TD04.

is this a bolt on job regarding exhaust and oil/water lines?

Cheers,
S

If you get an early TD04 with the bent compressor entry, its a direct bolt on job. If its a later model, with a straight entry, you will need a very tight rubber or silicone bend and a small piece of steel pipe to join the new bend to the original intake bend

So everything else will fit?

I have a bugeye td04
and an older comp housing with
the bend :)

will everything else fit?

Cheers

Yes everything should line up, except maybe the top water pipe, it might be at a different angle. Just have about a foot of 13mm coolant hose handy.

Actually, it might be worth your while to replace both rubber water hoses. Being so close to the turbo, the heat makes the rubber brittle and when moved, can crack.

You will need a piece of 13mm hose with a manufactured elbow in it for the lower hose, kinda like this

So a 13mm "Z" bend?

When I had my original EA82T engine and turbo I used a VF10 lower steel coolant pipe in place of the std short one and the rubber hose .
I will always try to use steel lines to get away from a turbos center and turbine housing because the radiated heat is pretty hard or rubber coolant hose .

Because I know about Garrett BB turbos and Nissan std apps I used good 2nd hand SR20 lines banjos and bolts with the current BB dryer .
