do 2.5 headers fit a 2.0

Post by Rorza33 » Thu Mar 07, 2013 5:35 pm

I'm looking at buying to unequal headers for my 2.0 subaru rx so that i can get that lovely burble from the engine, but having difficulty finding any in Australia, but i have found some in the US which i might purchase. Problem is that they only state that they are 2.5 headers. and as the US didn't have the 2.0 imprezas they are not listed as a compatable car seeing as they didn't get any. I don't wanna buy these headers get them shipped to Aus just to find out they don't fit. So anyone know if 2.5 headers would fit on my 2.0 rx?

Just a note to others reading this thread in the future, I recall that these style "uneven" headers wont fit a DOHC EJ25 from the gen 2 liberty/outback. Unsure why though

From what I understand UEL (unequal length) headers give an awesome boxer rumble but you lose some power & esp torque. A big downside for me :(

If you are only after the noise, get a set of headers off a gen 1 liberty, it will have the same effect
