2" or 2.25" for an EA82 EFI
2" or 2.25" for an EA82 EFI
Howdy,
Not sure whether to go for a 2 or 2.25 system from the cat back on my Ea82 Vortex.
I'm after that burbling throaty WRX/ducatti sound and not concerned about performance as it will always be a slug. Wish I had taken note (pun intended)of what my last Vortex had as it sounded like pure EVIL/SEX.
I suspect it had a 2.25" with a Large Cannon and no resonator. Would the pipe size make any difference or is all down to muffler ? I'm thinking of an Xforce muffler at this stage.
Cheers

Yeah the actual muffler makes the biggest difference to sound, I'd talk to a few exhaust shops too.

If performance is important I'd think about doing something about the cat section of the header . Std they are old/outdated/very probably poor flowing . Something common like a V6 Commode cat would flow far better and probably give better emissions - and not be bank breaking .
Just a thought , cheers A .
