Roof Basket

Post by pezimm » Sat Mar 20, 2010 7:05 pm

Well, so we're planning this camping trip in NSW over Easter with a couple friend of ours... The missus kept saying "the boot's too small, it ain't gonna fit everything!" To which I answered: "I've got an idea!" (she hates when I have ideas...)

Had a look on eBay and found a bargain. Picked it up this arvo and I reckon it will do the job: 2 tents, 4 chairs, sun umbrella, and LPG cylinder. Best of all, it's only 55cm wide so I can still take my surfboard with me!

I'll install it on the roof tomorrow just to check if everything is fine, will send more photos after.

Cheers,
Pedro.

Nice! Are you going to leave it on permanently or just when needed? Looks like it'd be pretty aerodynamic eh?

And here's the rack fitted

And a look of the car

I'm not sure if I'll keep it on because it makes a bit of a 'boom' noise at about 60km/h then again at 100km/h...

Cheers,
Pedro.
