HAs anyone taken their Forester to Palm Valley or Boggy Hole in the Finke NP near Alice Springs?

My Forester has a 2" lift, but some websites say you need a 'high clearance 4x4' (no one really knows what that means) and there maybe some climping sections and plenty of soft sand. I'm not worried about the sand, but the 'climbing' maybe interesting if they are at bad angles.

Any advice is appreciated. :-D

Been to both places in bog std Brumby and later in a LJ80.

Both went ok...being lighter did better (most of the time) than the bigger rigs

thanks heaps! Great to know.

I've been planning this trip for 6 months and am trying to leave no stone unturned. I want to come out in one piece. Worse case is my mate pulls me out :) BUT it will depend on the road conditions closer to the time anyway, if more rain comes.

Will be the first time out to that region, and am definately looking forward to it.

Cheers
