Wikicamps app

Wikicamps... Anyone else tried this app out???
I got it off the itunes app store for my iphone. Allows users to add and share camp sites all over Australia. Already seen about 100 new sites added by people since i got the app 2 weeks ago. Has a current database of over 2500 camp sites including backpacker accomadation and caravan parks.
It would have made my life a lot easier when we took the Forester around Australia a few years ago. Gotta love technology.
Apparenty its available on Android to.

I down loaded it after reading this post yesterday. Looks pretty good to me. It seemed a bit light on round the Canberra region (where I am), however I don't need to know where the local spots are... So I added a few of my favs, and hopefully that will earn me some khama when I am using it to try and find a nice place to camp somewhere else in the future.
It will only be as good as the people who post on it, but first impressions are good.

Buy an android. You can get a better android than an iphone for about half the price and as an added bonus you won't look like a hairdresser

Im seeing about 15 new sites added everyday on the counter. Making good use of the camping gear checklist too. Was using the old paper and pen till now.

Hi everyone, this wikicamps sounds like the bees knees. We don't have one of these smart phones, so can't load Kilcowera Station on to the app. I wonder could a past visitor do it for us?? Please???? Had some lovely rain here this week, we should have a great display of wildflowers in late winter early spring. Cheers calenso
