A spot of camping... And maybe a race or two.

Thought I'd share with this mob over here.
In the last weekend of October we raced at Loveday 4x4 Riverland Challenge again. This time with the new wagon. Had some issues here and there but at the end of Sunday we ended up at the top of our class in 1st position.

Here are some photos and videos. I won't bother copying the whole report, you can see that over on the other forum.

We had a great time. Going to rebuild the front end a bit as the radiator ended up 3mm away from the crank pulley....

Similar damage, but the "chassis" took different damage. Where the radiator buttom support joins to the rails it pealed apart. The bullbar came off pretty early Saturday and we drove over it (not that I knew that until at the end of the race, I just saw one end pop up and then it was gone). We went through 7 struts on the weekend and the last pair barely survived the finals... At least we fond a quick way to give old Subaru's negative camber...

That's insane! Shame you can't strengthen it all up without ending up like a frame buggy so you don't have to go looking for new bodies every year.

Well done once again, you've gotta be proud of that!

Cheers
