Adelaide 4wd
wonder if anyone knows any 4wd tracks close to Adelaide, to practice or learn the basics. cheers
Hi mate,
If you are really new to off roading try torrens island out behind the submarine building sheds. Some light duty stuff, hills, dips, deep corrugation and there are usually a few other bikes and cars around if you get into trouble.
Also some sandy tracks you can try but stay off the beaches if at all possible or choose a high line. A mate of mine was driving a PIMPED up Landbruiser on the beaches and hit a mean soft bit at 40kmh; end result axles in the sand and a hefty tractor towage bill I can already hear people blaming the car...). Plus the salinity of the water out there has permanently corroded his underbody after only 2 hours exposure and $15 at the pay and spray washer.
Good luck and have fun.
