HI,
Whilst I know this car will never go cross country like a Cruiser would like to give it a little off road options... my question is can you fit sunrasia rims and decent dual purpose rims to this model? What size rims would fit?
Was also thinking of raising it say 2 inches, is this also a good option to pursue.
All I really want to do in this car is some beach work, and maybe muddy tracks leading into a campsite etc.
All opinions would be great.
Cheers
Ross
98 Outback
Hi Ross welcome to the forum
Your Outback is quite a capable car if will go cross country, a lift wound be a good idea tho
If you want to take your Outback on the beach and some dirt roads have a look at the our club http://www.subaclub.com we do beach and forest roads all the time.
If you want to see some of our cars and have a chat come down to the All Subaru day on the 18th showthread.php?t=12917.
Or i am running a trip out past Woodford on the 26th April showthread.php?t=13453 that is a great run for your Outback stock the way it is.
If you want any more info leave a post and i will get back to you.

I have the same '98 OBW.
highly recommend putting in the "raised" king springs, esp if it still has the original springs - most likely shagged by now.
KYB struts are excellent replacements too.
For what you seem to want to do, that would be more than enough mods.
I used to have an L series, and the OBW is nowhere near as maneuverable on tracks so decided thats as far as mods are going.
Good enough for the rough fire trail, but not for say highly eroded mountain goat style fire trails........
But i'm enjoying it as a road tourer, heaps better than the Lseries in that regard.
