Wheel hub question

Post by Kappage » Thu Jul 02, 2009 4:56 pm

Can anyone give me an idea on how two land cruiser wheel hubs would cost? Ive been offered some rather cheap Landcruiser rims and rubber for my VW which is still under contrsuction but ill need to know how much two hubs would cost, hell id even take second hand ones. I would like to fit two land cruiser hubs to the back to get on the (i think 16") landcruiser wheels.

For this potentially.

And then i will be looking at selling these

if they are the usual white sunraiser type of landcruiser rim then they can most likely be re-drilled to suit the VW stud pattern then just bolt on. Fill the excess holes up with weld first.

mock it up on a CAD program on your computer....maybe the VW stud pattern will fall comfortably within the existing 6 holes or even use one or more of the existing holes. In this case you could just leave the excess holes there instead of welding them closed....it's only a buggy :) also way lighter than a landcruiser, I can't see a rim buckling in this scenario actually.

edit - my main point here is i suspect it would be easier to mod the rims to suit the VW hubs rather than try to get landcruiser hubs working with the VW axels etc.
