Wheels and tyres for 01 Outback

It coming around to new tyres time.

I currently have Bridgestone Turanza ER30 on the front, a Pirelli P6 and a Yokohama G900 on the rear. (stupid dork (prev owner) didnt change them all at the same time)

99% of my is driving to and from work which is a bendy, county road with loads of potholes and irregulataties.

I have had a few recomendations...

Goodyear NCT5 (local Beaurepairs tyre shop $153 each)
Bridgestone 683 (local Bridgestone tyre shop $165 each)
Yokohama C-drives (recommended by mate and sube enthusiast)

Im tempted to get the C-drives, but they tyre guy reckoned they'd wear to quickly.

Has anybody had either good or bad experiences with any of the above mentioned tyres?
Or recommend something you have used and liked.

While we are on the subject of tyres and wheels...
I currently have the stock 16" alloy wheels on my outback, but im tempted to get 17" alloys off a Gen4 Liberty/Outback

The Liberty ones are +55 offset where about Outback Rims is +48 I think. Sound about right guys?
I've got a set of MY05GT Rims same as above and they will look good on Gen2 Liberty - will install when the rubber wears out on my wagon.
If you have Outback and going for 17" - you should be getting 215/55 tyres (not 45mm where about its 4th Gen factory Liberty tyres which 4th Gen Outback is 55)

Another thing about the tyres above, check out the treadwear rating on them around over 400-under 500 is good, anything below that is soft rubber hence it'll wear down faster. (higher the number is, the rubber gets harder/longer to wear out)

Thanks AP, i wasnt sure about offset differences. So that means that if i put liberty wheels on my outback, they would tuck in too far?

I worked out that if i put 205/55r17 wheels on my outback, my speedo would be out by 0.8km/h at 100kmh, which is bugger all. If i went 205/60r17 it would give me a 3.9km/h difference at 100kmh

Where do i find the treadwear rating?

Standard Outback Tyres were 225/55 16" wasnt it?
