im no enginer but i think all the studs would brake befor the hub after all how many hubs have you seen brake on any car compared to studs breaking and unless you are totaly useless and use the wrong size drill bit or miss so many times that half the hub has been taken of it should not brake (dont forget im NOT AN ENGINER OR ACOUNTABLE FOR ANY OF YOUR MODS)

Welcome to the forum cunno96.

An odd way for an introduction to the forum - and a very old thread dig, but a good one none the less!

I encourage you to post up in the "New Member's introductions" thread located in the Subaru Chat section of the forum ;)

Cheers

I'm sorry to say this but are all persons in SA taught how NOT to use commas and full stops??

Drilling the hubs is not hard and doesn't require engineering skills but what you have to have anderstanding of how the hub is made and the material it's made from. When (in this instance) Subaru engineer and manufacture the 4 stud hub, it is designed with extra strength around the stud holes. If you drill them in areas that don't, then it doesn't take much grey matter to work out what might happen. If you were to design your own hub made from a billet then you would have more weight behind your statement.
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.
