possible new tyres for thunder???

Post by thunder039 » Fri Jun 08, 2012 9:17 am

these are the new tires i have been thinking of getting. not 100% sure just yet. there not going to be my everyday tyres so i dont car if they are rubbish on road. i just wanted some feedback to see if any one has any experience with them. they are the only mud tyre i can find, i want an agressive tyre as i dont do beach work mainly mud and rock

Hi, Also try http://www.tempetyres.com.au/index.asp for these tyres. I was quoted the same price of $180 ea, just this week.
But the delivery was much cheaper to QLD, even cheaper than the ebay ones to VIC.

Maxxis do good tyres. I didn't realise they did M/T in a 205/70R15....

Thats a very good price for muddies.

Remember you will need 5 tyres too, you need a spare the exact same size with AWD cars.

I paid just under $1000 for my 4 Geolander AT-S's last year.

No, haven't bought them. Was looking for a slightly smaller tyre to 215 65 R16 with good tread.
But would also need to find 15inch rims. I have decided to sort out my struts first.

I think they must be new to the Australian market in this size at least, which is good for us.

yes thats why i wanted them i dont want to spend $220 a tyre for all terrians unless i have to! they seem good but my issue is that i wanted a set of offroad tyres that i could fit to both my 99 forester and my fiance's 04 forester. but if i get these i have the issue of the 15inch rims not fitting the 04 forester:(

I got Maxxis 753mt tyres and i cant complain about them i have never had a flat touch wood.
I have treated them pretty hard there are bits of chipping but that is from spinning on rocks so i cant blame them for that
That is a great price too.

And in the high country if I recall correctly! When you see them and all the marks Yarney's got in them, they're pretty impressive!

Cheers
