need pics so cops can nab thieves....

Post by soobygus » Mon Jun 19, 2006 1:29 pm

Got home from a one month holiday, and some nice person has put my L series up on blocks and taken off with the 14" factory alloys and cooper discoverer STTs. If anyone has pictures of either the tyres or the alloys, or even better the alloys with the tyres fitted, could you please email them to kingfish99@orcon.net.nz
The alloys were apparently factory fitted to some of the L series, and have the big centre cover that can be fixed on with allan-key headed screws. The covers weren't fixed when the wheels were taken, so a pic of the alloy without the cover would be even better.
Makes me wish i had taken a few pics... we have a suspect but, so with luck the cops will get them back, not liking my chances but.

cheers,
Gus.
stock EA82T 1989 waggon, 3 inch lift and auto to manual conversion complete.
Rear LSD installed
2 inch extractors, 2.5 inch turbo-back, feels really good, need to chop the muffler out for better sound.
14 inch cooper stt's ready to go on in new year...

I have a set of 14" with the hex screw caps from a Vortex, not sure if these are the same as what you have (had!), I can send a photo if you like?

been told the 14" Cooper STTs are discontinued over here, got possibly the last set
is that the case also in NZ?
if so, you could justifiably approach anyone with such a set looking new and ask to see their receipt :x
would have liked to see a pic of those alloys too........
unfortunately my tyres are not on alloys...but sunraysers

I know its American, and thus mostly irrelevant to Australia, but the USMB has a page with a load of factory alloys on it...
