What is the 4-lug hub pattern? I want to look for lightweight wheels.

Speedy Desert Rats are 6 inch wide, 225/60R14 would work.
thanks. 140mm is nearly 6 inches. :)
Maybe I can find some cheap off eBay, gumtree or quokka. :)

thanks again.
I think 225 is probably too much tyre for an old EA82.
Probably not bad on a 2.0L or 2.2L motor though.

do you have power steering?
smaller tyres will keep the steering lighter too if you dont. i run 185 and have never had any trouble.
bigger tyres are great if the motor can push it over, the old ea often can't!

Yes, power steering. :)

After the Preston Beach meet,
trying it out in deep sand on a 18 C day.
Even while running my heating full blast, my coolant temp was still very hot.

I'm wondering if a power steering cooler might be useful to protect it from damage?
I like hot weather and I'd prefer to be able to flog my L Series with confidence when it's 38 C.

I weighed Vortex mag with tyre 185 70 13, 30% tread left - 12kg. A Superlite 6" x 15" shod with Bobs Xenon X7 with about 100% tread - 17 kgs !!

I would expect a 15" wheel to be much heavier than a 13" wheel; greater circumference.

Does anyone know how much a Sunraysia 14" wheel weighs by itself?
that way i could compare wheel weights or tyre weights.

Probably the weight of the tyre makes more difference than the wheel, for acceleration.
Sometimes some designs are lighter when you wouldn't expect them to be for their size.
