Got a really old set of 14" rims out of the shed. I bought these off Christian probably about 7ish years ago (Christian if you recall I came to your place to get a rear bumper skin and spied these stacked up in your shed, they were painted black).
They've been painted white a few times since then and used offroad on my wagon for a long time - and man, the paintwork was in very bad condition!
I got them sandblasted and powdercoated at a place near my work.
Then I got a new set of 215 x 60 x 14 tyres stuck on them.
Also sprung for a new set of chrome lug nuts (haha, wank!).
I had to roll the guards in a little to stop them scrubbing when I hit dips in the road etc, this will also be improved when I replace the very tired suspension springs in the car.
They stick out of the guards a bit so I may have to get some small flares.
Makes the car look better overall I think, but definitely highlights the fact that it's time for a respray!
