hey do people here think these are safe for off road use or would they bend
just thought its a quick way to change for offroad use

That's interesting. It neatly solves the problem of what to do with my front end if I change the rear to mid-board hubs. Of course I'm five stud, thanks to the Crossbred kit, but it shows there's plenty of room inside the large VW pattern.
As for bending, there's no reason they would bend any more than a rim. Offset would be the determing factor with regards to scrub radius and excess positive offset. Question is, why would you bother? Unless you specifically had large VW rims and tyres sitting around you'd just use 4 stud rims.
