After many months of weekend back braking work I have finally finished my rear bar & twin tyre carrier. YAY! (Just need to fit the number plate bracket)
The first two are with a jerry can holder attached...
These next few photos are with the twin tyres on....
All lighting is LED.
It has rear parking sensors & reverse camera fitted.
Black Hammertone finish.
Class 4 H/D Removable tongue towbar.

Simply awesome!!!
I like the way you have made it so you can swap between the jerry-can and the 2nd spare wheel
And LED's are cool

Nice looking bar there Justin. All ready for the cape now?
Any reason why you didn't recess the tail lights? They look a tad vulnerable.

I will see if i have any pics of the assembly.
It is a full steel bar. But is reasonably light. (You can actually jack the car up off it)
brumbyrunner - Yep almost ready for the cape trip now, just go to finish the winch bull bar & fit it.
There is frame work behind the lights, a stainless 'grill' is going over the top of them.

Very impressive indeed.
did you find any pics of it mid-build? I might have a bash at making one too with my very limited welding skills one day.

Looking great that little fiddly bit below the tail lights looks great too. I was thinking of building an alloy one for my gen 1 but realized how much work is involved so now its low on my priorities list and better spending that time at the moment!
