I've got a set of six incredibly rare genuine Subaru 14" alloys that I've had for over 10 years. I've decided that I will probably never use them now so I may as well let them go. They have the correct offset and spigot hole and best of all they're in Brisbane.

Best thing about them is they are perfectly legal being a factory option for that model car. It is not an understatement that they are rare. I only know of 4 sets in Australia.

Understandably they aren't as cheap as 14" steel wheels though.

Yep, me, thanks to nncoolg!
This is what my rims look like. Apparantly they are rally rims.

they are 14 x 6"
Not sure of the offset. They would be the same as any stock 13" L series steel or alloy rim. They don't let wide tyres stick outside the 'guard, not even 27x8.5
I should also mention that I don't have the centre caps as depicted on the rim above^^.

well, I had all my fingers crossed it was these: Image

And with no center, what do you reckon they would look like on an XT?

Brumbyrunner, can you please PM me the price you were chasing and tire condition, and I will let you know.

Adrian, didn't you get a 5 stud kit?

Guyph 01, what did you have to offer?

Yes I did but close short gearing is limiting atm and have too many other things on to fit the CrossBred kit yet . Need Rex rear calipers as well .

Bolt on 14's with larger than 185/70/13 tyres would help an can sell them on when finished with them . Depends on price I suppose .

Ah yes, price.
What's a full set of six, rare as hens teeth, tough enough for motorsport, won't crack like Vega's, won't bend like steel rims, won't change your scrub radius like most aftermarket rims, balance really well, genuine Subaru rally rims worth nowadays?

Not sure , I'm only interested in functionality so to me they're just a 4x140 PCD 14" rim . People who want snazzy are going to buy the Mini-lite type wheel , which BTW is the one most Rally on anyway , so something less than those .

Your call , A .

I think $180 per wheel is a good price. Scorpion steelies are $220 and correct offset. Mini-lites are alloy, $240 and not correct. Sure both of them are new but neither of them are genuine, alloy and correct offset.

No, thanks, still looking. Some mini lites or rally harts would be lovely, or the pictured spokies above...

$180 per wheel for a twenty something year old 14" rim that won't fit anything other than a L or Vortex - you're dreaming .
When you can buy five 16 x 7 MY2000 Impreza WRX wheels for $300 (60 ea) 180 is nowhere .

Most people on an L Series budget aren't gonna pay that .

There was an RX turbo on eBay few weeks ago with similar wheels for $800, no bids and did not sell. Listing stated they were 15 inch... I have doubts!

RX Turbo OK just realised the RX might have Larry Hart rims.

I purchased a set of SMSG rims a few weeks ago for $200, also from ebay:

SMSG wheels

These rims are 14x5.5, not 14x6 and have no centre caps.:( Should look OK once I clean them up.

Apparently SMSG stands for Subaru Motorsports Special Group - which is really all the information I can find out about these rims, except for one photo (in the book 'The Innovator Downunder') showing Possum Bourne using them in the late 1980s and, of course, the USMB wheels page (The SMSG wheels pictured here have small centre bore holes for some reason?):
