G'Day Suba Fans,

I'm running the Nankang 27.5" tyres on my Brumby. They're great and cost about $110, also there's a new tyre on the market for $90.

When I told my Jimny driving friend the price his eyes almost pooped out (not a typo) and asked me to get him a price. Unfortunately he is looking for 205/70/15R. And I mentioned I would jump on the forum and have a look for what 5 stud Subaru's are using. And what might give him great bang for buck like I'm getting.

I used the search but yielded no relevant results. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Dane

kumho at's are pretty good.

what you have to remember about the nanakangs is theyre just a road tyre with a chunky tread. And i found they were very soft and wore out too quick.

i seriosuly reckon you get what you pay for with tyres. Especially with 4wd tyres and trying to keep abit of on-road driveability.

Just check my thread titled "Performance tyres for Outback ?", showthread.php?t=15299 . It is all about extensive searching and comparing the tyres in size 205/70R15 :-)

EDIT: Get him a passenger tyre (not 4wd tyre) Michelin Energy XM1 from Bob Jane for $129 -- that's the best deal I've encountered.
