If I was to try to buy a set of 14" rims for my MY wagon would I need to stipulate the rims were for an MY or are the rims (offset) the same for the MY and the L series. The L series are what most wheel distributors are familiar with.
Are the rim offsets the same. ?

So What?

There aren't many 14" rim choices in 4x100 and even less offset choices. Any offset to suit an L series will also suit your MY.

Desert rats are the only other steel 14" wheel available for the MY and L series 4x140mm stud pattern.

They come in only in a 14mm offset

This is why when put on an L series, flares are needed as the wheels are wider than the body. On a MY, because of the narrower track, the wheels sit almost inline with the body

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
Another question, the Sunraisier (spelling ?) white, steel wheels that were 4 stud 13" and common on MY and L series as an optional extra from Subaru.
They are obviously 13" but how wide were they.
My Subaru factory fitted alloy rims are 13" x 5.5 with 185/70/13 tyres.
I am looking for another set of 13" rims but steel of the same size.

Not meaning to hijack ...

Alpine Raven, are the offsets for Gen 4 Outbacks and Libs also different to each other?

Yes, the offsets are supposedly different

Impreza and Liberty are 55mm, Outback and Forester are 48mm

Im looking for some Forester or Gen4 Outback alloys for my Gen3 Outback when it comes time to replace my tyres

BUT something i noticed

Gen3 Liberty wagon wheel track Front 1,460mm
Rear 1,455mm
Gen3 Outback wheel track Front 1,470mm
Rear 1,460mm

So the Outback is 10mm wider in the front, but only 5mm wider in the rear, despite each having 7mm of offset difference

What gives?

Based on Toonga's message 6" wide steel 13" diameter rims would be excellent. I will put something onto the wanted page.

I have to say there are very few car projects I would say I cant deal with (I draw the line at replacing a KIA C@#$%al engine. Don"t get me started) and I am totally in awe of the knowledge everyone on this site has to offer. If only to be about 20 years younger and things would be very different.
