So i was messin around today with my car, and did a little wheel mock up, what do you think?
14x8 alloy from a toyota i just scrapped, has the same offset as the 15" pug alloys, just 2"'s wider
and a poor example of the 15" pugs I already have, this was bought as a spare is in less than great shape
I like the additional dish look of the 14x8 from the exterior, and I can have my hubs modded to fit this pattern if I can get a tire to fit in the 27" tall range
thoughts?
Cheers, Mark

Hey Mark ,
With me being born in the 60's and influenced by the 70's ( the time panel vans were being done up with big wide dished wheels ) there is now thinking to be done. LOL, the wheels in the first pic. The 14x8's.

Mark the toyota rims would look way better but the 15's could give you better tyre options

I like FAT, I also like the FAT ones for you can see something of the original RX H mags in there, the square centre. The froggy ones fit - we know that, and they look good as well.

Hey Mark - A good looking set of wheels will always compliment a good car.
How often do you see a nice cars looks ruined by crap wheels??
The Toyota wheels look the business to me.
Are they from a Supra?
Possibly easier to keep clean too!:D
Best regards from your pal across the Pond !

Hi Giles, they came off an '83 Celica GT, had the supra style wheels and flares as well as an independent rear end, most of the guys calling for parts had the solid axle under theirs, not sure if original parts or not.

They look like mags on a Supra sold here in Aus about that time of another XT The Celica XT think they came out in 83 too, bit wedge shaped straight lined panels etc.

Yes 82 - 83 I remember one of the first guy's I worked for had a new Supra 2.8i with those wheels on. Must say it looked the 8o77ocks in 2 tone metallic blue. Light blue upstairs Darker blue below and those wheels.
He had previously had an original Mazda Rx7 sports car.
He was an oldish fat chap with a cake load of money (shooting hob nobbing type or at least he thought so) He also had a blonde young play thing wife who doubled as the company secretary - you get the picture!!.
All us guys were green with envy !!! (over the car that is as Val was a bitch with us!!)
Yup the Toyota had big wheel arch mouldings and was a Lift back / Hatch back type.
