Hey Suba-Dudes,

Yes its another GT tyre question and yes I know its basically a contradiction, but I was wondering if anybody knew of a good cheap trye to put on my gt? Dont have a spare $1000 to throw around at the mo (actually I never do!) and she is going to need some new feet in the very near future. Spend most of my time on road these days with a bit of soft roading thrown in for good measure. No beach work as I dont find digging cars out much fun. All ideas received with thanks!

Cheers,
Corax.

Dont buy cheap tyres.

Save a bit and buy some decent ones, i have Bridgestone Potenzas on my Outback and they have been really good (i give them a fair flogging too)

Around the $150 each mark i think

For monies worth - cheap tyres + cheap rubber = wear out quicker, if you get good qaulity ones will last longer.

Yeah I know, the old saying 'you get what you pay for' is very true when it comes to tyres. The only cheaper brand/model that seems to float to the surface on a regular basis is the 'GT radial champiro 228's' from what I have been told/read these are pretty good bang for buck, handle/brake well and last for ages. Also have a five year replacement warrenty (structural) and have been recommended by Choice magazine and Alan Moffet (plus they have GT written on them:)). Anybody got a set of these?

Cheers,
Corax.
