will they fit..

looking at a set of bridgestone duelers D693's all terrains to put on my set of 99 gt rims.. i dont know so much about tyre sizing so just wondering if 215/65R16's will fit the rims, currently have 215/60R16's so im not entirely sure on the difference in the central sizing number... any info appreciated

Hi Woody,
As mentioned above yes they will fit.
The middle number is the percent height of the side wall based on the width of the tire.
For info here's an old post of mine with brands and sizes I could find, I don't think much else has come available since.

So from the link you'll gain .8 of an inch in diameter and .4 of an inch in clearance height.
I personally wish I had off picked 215/60R16 as I only have a spring & strut lift on the liberty at present. They are very snug in the guards!

Hi Woody. I have 215/65/16s on my outback that fit fine without lift (only HD springs if they count). Venom (the H6 liberty on here) has the same tire size with a 2" lift and has no worries at all.
If you're still running the standard 1.19 low range going to the larger tire size will reduce the effectiveness of your uphill gearing somewhat. I ran 215/70/16 on my old lifted liberty and when driving in low range it felt like driving in hi range with stock tires... go figure.
