So the new project has begun, and I've got a ********* full two inch lift kit on the way!!

I'll need to put new tyres on the vehicle once lifted, and I have the option of either 15" or 16" wheels. Only, I don't know which way to go?

I've heard opinions for both, but I'm wondering if anybody can help to convince me to go either way.

Tyres are going to be A/Ts, and I'm hoping for slighty oversize tyres to provide additional lift!

Providing the 15s clear the brake calipers on the front they would be better in every respect offroad.

I bought 15s for the selection of offroad tyres. 13/14 selection is rubbish by comparison. and 16 is a little too big for my liking.

Depends on the type of vehicle for this application. As stilson has said, the smallest rim that fits over your calipers will be the best - but with this said if you've got a tyre diametre in mind like a 29 inch tyre for arguement's sake that's only available on a 16 inch rim then you really don't have an option.

I've got 27 inch tyres on a 14 inch rim - this gives me a great footprint when I air down - my tyres have more wall height than what I think Venom and Dulagarl have - it takes me longer to air up due to this.

theres a bajillion more tyre options in 15inch & 16inch compared to 14inch, but there are more options for a 16inch rim (and cheaper) than a 15inch rim....if that makes sense haha.
