EA82 and 27" tyres...

hi all,

has anyone tried pushing 27" tyres with a fairly stock ea82 engine?

howd it go? As i am looking to put 27"s on my L-series....

you wont really have too much trouble , I ran the 27's with an ea81 motor without too much difficulty.

bog stock mpfi ea82 pushing a auto[power robber] it's ok, if you see a hill get around 3000-3300rpm before you hit.Go for it.

Come for a ride in my noisy, rattly MY. It's running an EA82 carb motor, with a Weber and 27's.

Doesn't go too badly, its certainly no race car and Honda Civic's dust it, but then it wasn't built to go fast..... yet.

I've done exactly that, and with an EA82 in excellent condition.

It's slow, but it's certainly plausable and you won't have too many dramas off road.

Be prepared to use 5th gear less. A lot less.

Yes, fifth gear is a thing of the past though..... 8) (webber fixes that!)
