14” Desert Rat Rims Apologies.

Hey Crew I have learnt through personal experiences that 14” desert rat rims on L series, even with 2” lift do infact scrub like all buggery when you start to use the springs and struts. My 14 ‘s and 15’s have always run on the correct offset set rim and I have never had an issue with either set (well maybe the 15’s scrub when ya bottom out hard). Anyway this is an open apologue to all when I have posted in the past that 14” should fit without any drams – I am sure that I have stated that the offset should be correct however just in case I have not I am clearing it up now. (mumbles under breath bloody shit rims why do they have to look better then my Pugs, crap crap crap, bloody stoopid incorrect offset).

How big are the tyres??? I recall Vidler having 27 inch tyres on with his 2 inch lifted L they did occasionally scrub. From memory it wasn't a huge problem. And where is it scrubbing... might be time for a rubber mallet.

Tyers are HUGE lol should still only be 27” they are still going on the Pugs though – that is unless of course you do not what your rim!?!?! tehe

My 14's (the desert rats and the speedies) have always scraped the guards even with little street tyres. After installing the 3" lift kit it was actually slightly worse because this brought the part of the guard which scrapes closer to the centre of the tyre, the bit that sticks out the most.
But still - trimming the guards is really not much of a drama.

Yeah, even with a 4" BYB kit I had 27x850x14 BFG All-Terrains rub badly on my L. Fixed after guard trimming though.
