Buddy "L" !!

Post by rerty » Wed Aug 25, 2010 3:02 pm

G'day,
I have finally got my L series where I want it.............. for now anyway!!
I bought it with the already installed driveline out of an rs turbo liberty. It has the engine, awd gearbox and 4.11 lsd diff.
It runs a 3" exhaust, sti top mount intercooler and a k&n pod filter.
The engine is run by an apexi computer with a mild tune, boosting to about 13-14psi.
The "L' has a dual core radiator and twin thermo fans hanging off the back.
I have just finished installing the crossbred performance disc brake kit to it as well as some 16 x 7 gc8 wrx rims. The brakes are twin piston wrx with vented discs on the the front and single piston solids on the back.
The front struts and springs are gc8 wrx items, and the rear has 1" lowered springs on standard shocks.
It is not built for offroading, will only be used to get to some mountain bike trails usually on gravel roads.
It needs a good clean and detail as well as a few spots of rust fixed, the engine needs some new rocker cover gaskets and bolt seals. The gearbox is next as it has started getting the dredded wrx wine!!:( Will put a new clutch in it when that happens.
Thanks to all you guys for helping me with all the questions I have asked! This site is invaluable for subaru inclined people,
Cheers,
Deano.

Yeah it's about an inch lower at the back compared to the other day, could go lower again but if you start having people and bikes in the back it will look a bit arse heavy, this way it should look flat with a couple of people and bikes etc in there.
Cheers.
