Brad's Subaru's

Post by Brad » Wed May 17, 2006 8:04 pm

Well I have been kicking around here for a while now collecting info and getting answers. Anyway I finally found a Subie I liked so I bought it and am now the proud owner of a 1985 Model RX Turbo Sedan (thanks Bryan)

I haven't even washed it yet so can't tell ya much about it. She does have a 2" Body lift, spring lift, 14"mags and a heap of other little stuff I am sure I will work out once I play with it more.

My new Subie playing in the yard.

Here is a look at its big brother and my other ride, the Iguana Buggy which runs an EJ 22 but not much else that isn't custom made.

I wonder which one I drive in the rain ..

Yeah it is sort of VW based. We use a VW tunnel and rebuild it from the ground up with heaps of mods.

checked out the web site... are you involved in the building/producing of the buggies? in the gallery, there is the same buggy lifted ready for off road action and then dropped on its ass for street... whats the deal with that? just push a button or what?

they are awesome machines

Yeah drop is photo shop ..

Yeah I have something to do with them .. I actually own / build the Iguana, A few mates and I dreamed the idea up over christmas and built it from that. Getting it approved and on road was fun ....

Mags are 4 x 130 but as I get em custom I can get 4 x 140 as far as I know, I will check on them for you. What offset do you want ?

Bad News

Post by Brad » Tue May 23, 2006 3:10 pm

:?

Ok well it seems that the casting will not let 4 x 140 go on with the correct subaru offset
Most ,ags you get for Subaru (4stud) are16.5mm positive which is 104mm backspace.

Best I can do in that pattern with 4 x 140 in a 15 x 7 works out to be 89mm backspace which is around negaitve 16.

So Bugger ..

I can do the good old superlights in a 15 x 6 in a 4 x 140 in a 24 pos which is 113 backspace which should sit under the front guard. These would be $195 ea inc GST for forum guys. Maybe a little less if we bought a few.

Cheers,

Brad
