Is that an ABS warning light? Could be an ABS sensor, that is the only problem I've ever had with ABS, so it is always the first thing I think of...

What is VDC?

ABS is your braking assistance, when the lights on it means its not working. So you will easily be able to lock your brakes :(

VDC is traction control because its a H6 and auto. Not sure what they both mean, check your user manual. Its odd that it only does it at a certain speed thoughh

Try some googling.

I'm not certain but I think the ABS and traction control both use the abs sensor on the drive shaft.
Hopefully a wire has come loose or wasn't attached properly during install. Maybe the wiring is too short after the lift and needs extending like the brake lines sometimes do?
Best of luck!

spot on Bodge the VDC system (Vehicle Dynamic Control) uses the abs sensors and after a lift I would check everything in that area

Any idea what i should be looking for? I looked under the car and everything looked normal, would there be anything visible if i took off the wheels?

The sensor bolts into the top of the hub. Id just trace the wires to see if anything is abnormal

Also check the tone wheel - the bit the sensor reads , it may have moved a little on installation

I followed the wires back from the ABS unit to where they go through the firewall behind the strut towers and found there isn't much slack in the line, possibly with a bit of movement from the suspension on the road it could be pulling on the line, will try and feed a bit more wire through by unclipping the clip behind the firewall so it can dangle and move abit more, the passenger side one i can't even see cause there is crap over the top of where it goes through the firewall:(

Im guessing this part is located behind the wheels?

So if i remove the wheel what will i be looking for if the sensor isn't working properly? Do i have to remove the disc brake assembly to see the hub ....because i don't really have the experience to be removing them:P

Well after alot of scratches and swearing i managed to stretch the line a little looser, then i realised the one i was stretching doesnt even move with the suspension as it goes from the electrical harness and connects to another harness under the car before going across to the hub, durrrrrrr:P

All the lines that do go from the body to the hub are pretty slack still but, i bounced the car as hard as i could while looking under there and i couldn't get it anywhere close to becoming tight enough to cause a problem.

Also lifting the rear has no effect on the abs lines because they run along the sills of the car and go straight into the hub of the wheel.

Just got the car back with the rear springs installed, took a tape measure out and measured from the top of the wheel arch to the tops of the tyres front and rear and found the front is 2cm higher in the front then in the back:( HD springs from king springs musn't raise the car if it has self levellers:( drat o well im done with it 2 centimetres isnt gonna kill me.

Actually, if you have a look at the front and rear arches you might find that the front arch is actually higher than the rear - this is how it is on my L series so I wouldn't be surprised if subaru have carried this design on to later models.

Use something like the side strip panels as a reference ;)

And really, what's more important is the ground clearance from the lowest point under the car! To get a good idea of what this might be you really need to do a before and after measurement...

Cheers

Im 99% sure a standard stock gen 3 Outback is 190mm at the lowest point.

I reckon you would have somewhere around 330mm which is just insane!!! and awesome

I have 282mm at my lowest point on the foz with my combination of lift.

yeah the wheel arches can be very deceptive. You can stand off to the side with it on a flat level road, looking at the sills will give you a rough idea how nose up or down it is.

My rear sill is slightly lower than the front, bit annoying but its not much.
