It'd still be around, if not in another body I'm sure! And it's not hard to loose one, since there is only two of them AFAWK... Hopefully Durlagurl will be getting the same repair treatment.

Yeah Rhys, I'll be hoping for the best!

Slight update. The car went in to my choice of repairer last monday. They're not the fastest operator in the world but i gave them a ring today and they're nearly done with the quote. Prelimenary price is around $6,000. With my second hand doors and tailgate they can put the doors down as a repair rather than reskin and bring the total price of repairs down to about $5,000. Thats bring the cost down to about 50% of the insured value of the car, which gives it a good chance to be fixed.

Rhys, I'm itching to know how it goes. Hopefully there's good light at the end of the tunnel.

I didn't like what I read about Greg's foz, hopefully you won't have to go through that. If you do we could re-shell her ;) I'm good at that... well, pretty much know how to do it

Cheers

Shannons accepted the repairers quote. The repairer said that without the second hand panels that it would have been a write off. Booked in for the 13th. Lucky i got those panels.

I wonder how many have been sold in the last few years...

Also, would insurance companies give a discount like with a garage?

Yes they do. Well it might depend on the company.

Fantastic news, glad to hear it worked out in the end.

Clever move getting those s/hand panels and good to know your panel beater was happy to help you out.

I think we can all sleep a little better now knowing she will still be on the road (and offroad of course)

OBX torsen front LSD. In hindsight i think i would have preferred a carbon fibre clutch pack LSD in the front.

Why is that Rhys? I've not heard of a carbon fibre clutch pack LSD... sounds expensive!
